Tomorrow's Paper

Betrayed by the man she thought loved her and alone now in a cell, Lisa has no idea it isn't her money they are after... until she's thrust into the midst of a cruel surgery.
The brilliant, beautiful, and horridly twisted Dr. Xavier Lyon personally supervises the extraction of Lisa’s brain for a purpose only future generations will fully comprehend. The secret corporation Lyon heads is about to use portions of Lisa’s brain to create a technology so universally therapeutic that no human will be able to resist its power…or be left alive if they resist.
But not all are fooled by the lure of C.O.B.R.A. (COmputer BRAin Interface). Jerry, an emotionally frail computer genius troubled by the ethics involved, teams up with financial consultant Edward Calais and his wife, Jane, an astute lawyer, to combat the unholy unfolding. But will they—and Lisa—be able to stop C.O.B.R.A. before it becomes a reality in tomorrow’s paper?

Richard Wunderlich

Richard Allen Wunderlich’s interest in technology stems in part from his many years of teaching and writing science and mathematics textbooks for the world’s future scientists, engineers, and medical researchers.
“Being immersed in the minds of students who are much smarter than me,” Wunderlich says, “often makes me wonder where the amazing technology they’ll create will lead humankind.” He also wonders, as many do, if technology is moving faster than our ability to decide if it’s ultimately good.
Tomorrow’s Paper, Wunderlich’s first fictional work and the first of a trilogy, explores what will happen when a piece of technology is created that is so appealing, so enchanting, that its inherent evil is overlooked. Wunderlich, who lives and teaches in Southern British Columbia, loves to use storytelling to elicit interest and controversy in his classes. The intent of Tomorrow’s Paper is to explore the conflict between what can be done and what should be done in an entirely plausible and terrifying venue. It will cause all who read it to reflect on their place in the universe, and to value and protect their innermost being, their soul.
Richard Wunderlich holds a bachelors degree in science education from the University of Victoria, B.C. He is a science and mathematics consultant and a program author for: MathLinks 7-9 (McGraw Hill Ryerson), Essentials of Mathematics 10-12 and Experiential Science 10-12 (Pacific Educational Press), Mathematics 10-12, and Applied Mathematics 10-12 (Addison Wesley).
