Paul Wallis

Paul Wallis is the author of six books: The New Monastic and My Dinner with Anton (OakTara); Be Thou My Breastplate: 40 days of giving your life to God the Celtic way (Continuum/Paulist Press); God’s Radicals (OIKOS Australia); Men Behaving Boldly and Rough Ways in Prayer: How can I pray when I feel spiritually dead? (SPCK). Paul’s writing on masculine spirituality has been published in journals ranging from the Christian magazine Woman Alive to the secular lads’ magazine Maxim. His interviews and devotional programs have been broadcast on three continents. Paul’s blogs and books bring together aspects of church history and spirituality, drawing from traditions eastern and western, ancient to postmodern. Paul has swum in piranha-infested waters in South America, horse-trekked in the rugged foothills of the Himalayas, and survived a charge by a white rhino in Southern Africa. Since 1985 he has worked as a pastor and church-planter in settings spanning the church spectrum from Anglo-Catholic to Evangelical, Charismatic, Emerging, and Missional. He studied theology in the UK and Brazil and since that time has been instrumental in planting seven churches. Paul now works in Ministry Development in Australia, where he currently serves the Anglican Diocese of Canberra & Goulburn.
Deliriously married to Ruth, Paul is daddy to two beautiful toddlers, Evie and Ben. You may reach Paul via email: revdpaulwallis@gmail.com
