Laura Boggess
loves to read. She has channeled her love of words into writing since she was a young girl. As a child growing up in impoverished Appalachia, her family faced the all-too-common problems of parental alcoholism and divorce.

Her experiences led to the desire to help others heal through story. Laura believes that if you can capture a child’s imagination, he or she is capable of overcoming anything.

Laura obtained her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 1992. She currently works in a medical rehabilitation facility where she counsels patients with acquired brain injury and their families. She has also worked as a Director of Children’s Ministries and is active in the women’s ministry at her church.

Laura lives in Hurricane, West Virginia, with her husband, Jeff, their two boys, Teddy and Jeffrey, and their Boston terrier, Lucy Mae. She has been published in the
Charleston Gazette, Pray! magazine, Proverbs 31 Women
magazine, and Crosswalk.com.
