Jarrod Stephens, an elementary teacher with a B.A. and Masters degree in Middle Grades Education, grew up on a small family farm in Eastern Kentucky. His books are born from his love for the simple farming life, “I witnessed firsthand the bonds and friendships that were created in communities and families," Jarrod says. "People worked together in the fields to make ends meet and through the many trials they faced together, they grew stronger.” Jarrod still farms and hopes that his sons will continue tilling the soil just as their family has done for so many years.
