The idea for Be Not Afraid, the first book in the series of mysteries, came to her one night as she was working in a secluded area on the river road in Port Allen, Louisiana. When she heard a scream, she peered out the large picture window and a story started spinning in her head. What if…? You might think the answers to what if would have frightened her, working alone in a trucking company at two in the morning. No. It just added to the growing ideas for her first suspense novel.
