Barbara Tucker

Barbara has many roles. She is a college professor in Northwest Georgia, teaching English, communication studies, humanities, and business writing. She is a lay teacher in her church. She has run accreditation efforts, a teaching and learning center, awards programs, and debate teams. She is a wife and mother of an adult son. She serves her community, gardens, and mentors other writers.

However, she believes she is called to write and live out that calling mainly through fiction involving real people in real situations in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Her interests in justice, missions, politics, the environment, history, and the relationship of religion and politics influence her novels.

Her other writing credits include keeping up two blogs: http://partsofspeaking.blogspot.com and thechristiancollegeinstructor.blogspot.com; textbooks and instructional writing; screenplays for documentaries on missions; plays; and magazine articles.
